The Breitkopf & Haertel edition used as the source was published in 1877, edited by Johannes Brahms (1833-1897).
It is also called the "Süssmayr" version, because Franz Xaver Süssmayr (1766-1803) took credit for completing the Requiem after Mozart's death. There is much rumor as to who else was involved.

About Requiem Mass
Requiem Re Minör, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart'ın (1756–1791) bestelediği bir cenaze töreni müziği. Mozart, Requiem'in bir kısmını 1791'in sonlarında Viyana'da yazdı ama eseri tamamlayamadan, aynı yılın 5 Aralık'ında öldü. Eser, Franz Xaver Süssmayr tarafından 1792'de tamamlanarak Kont Franz von Walsegg'e sunuldu. Walsegg, karısının 14 Şubat'taki ölüm yıl dönümünde düzenlenecek törende çalınmak üzere eseri sipariş etmişti.
